Hate Crimes? Why only In Blue States?

Maybe because they aren't real. Or maybe... they are... just not from right. Well I'll let you decide. Now before you show a litany of hate crimes that are real, I know they exist. But they aren't rampant. And how much damage do you do to the pursuit of justice on real hate crimes when you constantly are crying "Wolf?"

Hey HuffPo: No one cares about a black Stormtrooper except bigoted Leftists

Ah the Huffington Post. Is there anything they won't make up?
John Boyega doesn't need a lightsaber to fight against narrow-mindedness and stereotyping: That's what acting is for.

The 23-year-old British actor, who previously starred in 2011's "Attack the Block," has a big (yet mysterious) role as Finn in "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens." Since his casting was announced, some fans -- influenced, no doubt, by the lack of racial diversity in the cast of the original trilogy -- have complained that a dark-skinned actor shouldn't be playing someone who wears a Stormtrooper outfit.

But in an interview with V magazine, Boyega said that these fans are just going to have to "get used to it."
Other links to prove the racism of Star Wars fans go to other articles that interview Patton Oswalt's reaction to the horror of the racism of Star Wars fans reacting negatively to a black stormtrooper.

Problem is, NO ONE has offered a whiff of evidence to support the existence of this wave of racism.

Google "Black Stormtrooper." You will find article after article condemning all the racists out there who are mad about dem darkies messin up our Star Wars. You won't find any of those actual racists these leftists are so mad about.

Because there really aren't any.

Which leads me to my point. Leftists are bigoted against whites.

These reporters never actually produce a stitch of evidence to support the idea that there is even close to a sizable minority that there are racist Star Wars fans out there. But they take this "information" to John Boyega, or Patton Oswalt, or whoever they can stick a microphone in front of and present it as fact. Then ask for a reaction. Boom the story is minted and set in stone as TRUTH.

It's not. It's made up bullshit to keep the narrative going that white people are forever racists. Don't buy it and don't believe it. It's all lies.

This is what they do. This is how you warp the perceptions of the masses who don't take the time to really pay attention. Don't buy it.

My Facts are Better Than Your Facts! So There! Nyaah!

I never cease to be amazed on how people use facts to support an untruth. As long as it bolsters their cause, there's no need to use context. Facts without context are useless in solving problems, at best. At worst, they turn into tools for outright lies.

Take this yahoo on twitter the other day. (This has been a few days ago now and I keep trying to get back to the blog but life has a way of diverting my attention.)

Ok. This is true. It's also stupid as it leaves out several facts to tell a larger story. For instance, the total population of blacks and whites. According to the FBI statistics, here's the distribution of crimes.

So yes, Whites commit more crimes in total. We are also 225 million vs 38 million as far as total number of population. If you do the math, 2.7% of white population are committing crimes vs. 6.5% of blacks. This means that blacks are more than three as likely to commit a crime as whites. If the populations were the same, the number of black crimes would be over 14 million!

But wait, I'm still not satisfied with my facts, which clearly tell a different story. First of all, these are just arrests, not convictions. These aren't taking into account multiple arrests. And finally, what if the black population really was the equal of whites? My guess is there would be a greater cross section of economic circumstance and that the number of crimes would still be limited to the poor and inner city. Also whites who commit the greatest number of crimes are the poor so crime isn't just a race problem, it's an economic one. All told, the rate for blacks would probably not be as high.

My point is, that I'm am not just latching on to one fact and justifying it as a reason to close off discourse, I am trying to get as much information as possible. To solve a problem. you can't just use one fact.

Let's take a different scenario. My numbers are made up, but it isn't relevant to the idea I'm trying to convey.  If we look at Apple Ipads and Bob's Tablets, the number of tablets sold are vastly different. If Apple sells a million and 1000 break and have to be returned, that's .1%. If Bob sells 10,000 tablets and 500 break, that's 5%. But in her logic, the Ipad is worse because they have a total number of broken tablets higher than Bob's Tablets.

We'll never get anywhere with these attitudes. "I got my one fact and that's all I need to justify hate." Sounds like the same mindset whites used to have in the 50's.

MSNBC: American Sniper was a Serial Killer

Or words to that effect.

Racist. Serial Killer. Chris Kyle was a frothing nutbag going out on killing sprees and enjoying it.

I'm assuming Aman Mohyeldin actually saw the movie and yet still says this about Chris Kyle. This is not just beyond sick, it's a complete and willful distortion of reality. Whether or not Aman actually lives in this reality or just wants it to be so, I can't tell. But I can tell that MSNBC regularly employs these people, puts them on TV, and gives these lunatics a forum to spout this kind of crap.

Also, I want everyone to understand a leftist mind: It's clear that Kyle did not think all Iraqis were savages. Yet this dirtbag assumes he does. This is because leftists always think in terms of groups, the collective, if you will. So if you comment on a terrorist's actions, you are disparaging all brown people, according to the left. This is because they don't see any differences between any brown people and do not want to say bad things about brown people, lest be known as a racist. So they first apologize for the actions of terrorists, and then second, deem those who attempt to stop terrorists as racists... because the left doesn't actually see any difference between all brown people.

In other words, the left knows racists when they see them because it takes one to know one. They simply accept their racism and are above you because they actually want to help brown people. The brown people need the left's help because what can you expect from brown people? They are victims of bigoted white people and can't be expected to succeed on their own. Or they are savages because if you were the victim of white Americans, you'd be savage too.

So remember, all brown people are disadvantaged without the means to better themselves cause... you know... whites are racists. Again, the non-racist left believes ALL white people are bad and all brown people are limited in some way.

This is how you become non-racist. If it makes your head spin, then congrats. You have an actual functioning brain. If it makes total sense to you, you'll have a long career at MSNBC with all the other non-racist racists.

Bill DeBlasio to Press: Quit Dividing People!

Seriously, that's what he said today:

I made twitchy with this tweet during the press conference so I felt obligated to expound.

DeBlasio has been race-baiting and politicing with the worst of them and yet now that his words actually resulted in death, i.e. two NYPD officers gunned down in their car, he seems to think he has no share in the responsibility.

No it's the PRESS that's dividing people. Not me! Vote for me in the next election! DeBlasio! I don't divide if there's a chance I can be blamed for something!

Enough! Blacks, it's time to take responsibility for your actions. The blaming and race-baiting is getting us nowhere. You're being used by race-hustlers and politicians. Selma is over. You won. Now take that American dream. You'll need an education like the rest of us, and you have to keep your nose clean. Do that, you won't have any more problems than the rest of us have.

Yes, it's really as simple as that.

Redefining Courage

First off I know everyone's waiting with baited breath for the new podcast. It's coming later today.

Second, let's stop with all the "brave" celebrity types. A while back I did a post how the fawning press said a pro-football player and his pregnant wife doing a photo shoot (from which they got paid handsomely) were "brave" for "embracing their body image."

Enough. George Clooney (of all people) took a petition up to make sure the movie "The Interview" was shown in spite of the North Korean death threats. He got not one signature.

Look I'm done with it. Doing a movie on Jackie Robinson or Selma is not "brave." Big whoop. Good movies I'm certain. But no longer important or at least no more important than your average history book.

Hollywood keeps popping this tripe down our throats. Look at how bad and how shameful America was. Look at how far we have to go or some such thing. Whites are so racist. Whatever. This is what passes for having some balls in Hollywood: making a movie about something that everyone agrees was and is wrong.

How about some real bravery? Here was your chance, show the movie and give North Korea the finger. Look I get not wanting to chance getting people hurt over a movie but there were all kinds of ways to embarrass North Korea. Press conferences calling them weasel's and cowards who can't handle the least bit of criticism. Throw it out on legal torrent or streaming sites. Something, ANYTHING that actually shows you think this is bad and North Korean dictators are evil.

Yeah, how about making an actual judgement on actual evil? Stand up and say it? Clooney did, that's one out of how many?

Two blacks got killed by cops. Oh it's so easy based on past wrongs to continue race baiting. Do minorities face racism still today? Yeah sure. Easy to say. You want to stand up and say something brave? How much of the racism minorities face is from other minorities? Way more than whites.

Committing crimes is surest way to having something tragic happen with the cops. How about a "brave" movie showing consequences of black crime? No? Oh another Selma movie? Ok you brave Holllywood types.

Here was your fucking chance to show how brave you are. I'm not seeing another movie about the civil right's march anymore. I'm done. I will only see movies that show people benefiting from freedom and taking consequences for their actions. You're entire goddamn livelihood is built on free speech. Stand up for it, for Christ sake.

Taking potshots at conservatives isn't brave. If you think oppression is a right-winger raising an eyebrow in disapproval, you are a coward. Go to hell.

Oh you re-made "Annie" but switched the races? Not brave, not even interesting. How about a movie depicting Cuba as the hellhole it really is? How about a movie like "Inglorious Basterds" except instead of the fantasy of Hitler getting killed, how about Kim Jung Un?

Oh right, we did that. You pulled it at the first sign of trouble. Pussies.

Obama Logic: 2+2=Racism

So let's look at the events and Obama's conclusion.

  1. Michael Brown strong arms a convenience store clerk and robs him in broad daylight.
  2. He walks in the middle of the street and ignores Office Wilson's order to get out of the street.
  3. Forensic evidence and consistent witness testimony say Brown rushes Wilson, attacks him and attempts to take his gun, resulting in his getting shot and killed.
  4. A grand jury reaches the same conclusion and wisely decides not prosecute him. No one broke the law or acted inappropriately EXCEPT Michael Brown.
  5. Despite the facts, Ferguson residents and outside rabble rousers decide to riot and destroy innocent people's businesses.
Conclusion by Obama? Draw up a 4 point plan for the police and how they should act. Nothing in the plan on how people should not rush police, break laws, rob shops, burn down businesses, or even suggest that maybe they should at least look at the facts.

Of course. Of course.

More Racism.. again.. and again... sigh...

I do get tired of it all but I ran across this article and had to share. What do race relations look like from an objective perspective?
Surveying all the available evidence—at least as it’s framed through a Google search of the past week’s American media—a discerning Martian would reach two sobering and inescapable conclusions:

1) Being white sucks because white people suck.
2) Being black sucks because white people suck.

One might also rightly develop the sense that white people should hate themselves and be forced to live a bleak existence of constant apology and retreat. One might also conclude that black people have every right to bleed resentment from every pore until this dangerously unquantifiable, highly emotional, and uniquely human notion of “justice” is achieved.

Since you are a highly rational Martian, you would also be led to the inexorable conclusion that the current situation, whether by accident or design, cannot possibly lead to racial harmony. Instead, it almost seems purposely engineered to result in escalating levels of conflict.

Any sane Martian would conclude it’s better to stay on the red planet and let those silly black-and-white earthlings sort this one out for themselves.
Indeed. At what point is the past...  past?  Many whites seem to enjoy flogging ourselves and our fellow whites constantly even though no racism of today can compare to the slavery of the 1800's or even the segregationist environment 60+ years ago.

Few whites or blacks can honestly remember or were involved in that past. None in the slavery past. Yet none of it will ever seem to actually pass into the past.

Yes I get the idea if we forget history we are doomed to repeat it. It also seems that an obsessive fixation on history is causing repetition as well, just the other way around. The conversation never moves forward, it just zig-zags from side to side. And it's getting old. White people and black people seem to forget the important word in those two descriptions: people. We are all just that, people. We are flawed, beautiful, mistake prone, diverse, wonderful, stupid people.

Getting past this inane, unimportant color attribute is proving to be harder than it should be and I don't get why anymore. Blacks, get over yourselves. Whites, get over yourselves. Fewer and fewer of you really know what racism really is. Most of you are just trying to be cool or with-it or part of the in-crowd.

Knock it off.

Hey Ferguson Rioters, Got Some Uncomfortable Facts For Ya

From TAKI:
But in South Salt Lake, UT on August 11—a mere two days after Brown was shot to death—a police officer described as “not white” shot and killed 20-year-old Dillon Taylor, whose pictures (Edit, removed links, see original story) reveal him to be at least predominantly Caucasian, if perchance not a purebred Nordic snow bunny. Taylor appears to be mostly white phenotypically (if not stylistically) and is far whiter-looking than George Zimmerman, whom the liberal press initially described as “white” for reasons that appear to have suited an agenda. And unlike the Brown shooting, there is currently video evidence of the Taylor killing available for public consumption, which should inflame white passions to the point where they’d riot—that is, if modern American whites were like blacks in the sense that they were prone to torching cities when one of their own gets killed.

Then again, it’s hard to get upset when you’re not even aware that something upsetting has happened. As I type this, a Google News search for the phrase “Michael Brown” alongside “Ferguson” yields a fulsome 13,700,000 results, whereas “Dillon Taylor” and “Salt Lake” only coughs up a puny 4,250 hits.
Of course not, because the first media lie is that blacks are incapable of racism. Therefore it was justified. But the other way around there will be hubbub, Bub. But wait! There's more:
It can’t be because police kill more blacks in America than whites, because that’s not true. Politifact claims that CDC stats from 1999-2011 show that “2,151 whites died by being shot by police compared to 1,130 blacks.”
Were you aware of that statistic? I wasn't until I went searching for it.
I was not Taki. Tell me more.
You've likely heard of the 1998 truck-dragging death of a black man named James Byrd, Jr. by three white men in Texas. But you've probably never heard of the 2000 death of a six-year-old white boy named Jake Robel, who died after being dragged for four miles by a black carjacker. Google searches for the victims’ names reveal results as absurdly lopsided as the disparity between Michael Brown and Dillon Taylor’s relative media attention: James Byrd, Jr. yields 108,000 hits, while Jake Robel gets a mere 4,910.
I've recently begun watching House of Cards on Netflix. A fascinating, deliciously awful show, in all the best ways. Kevin Spacey is in full on Swimming with Shark's mode. But the show though has a particularly disquieting quality to it that gets under my skin.

To explain the premise, Kevin Spacey and his wife are a particularly ruthless power couple in Washington. He is the majority whip in congress. He has set in place a series of events to get him to rise to power. I'm up to the end of season 1 and he's been given the vice-presidency. I'm assuming he won't stop there.

While the logistics and mechanics of Washington operations are interesting (I actually enjoy watching the sausage get made) what bothers me is how little the actual issues are given any thought. Francis (Spacey) is working through an education bill. We get to see how ruthlessly he gets this done but we are never privy to the why. Does he even believe in the reforms that are being pushed through? For that matter, the press, other congressman, lobbyists, hell, everyone seems to be in it to win power. When you see regular people in this show, they are background music. A mass of puppets waving signs, dutifully answering polls, and voting whichever way gets these guys more power. Actually accomplishing things to make things better is immaterial. The results matter only insofar as did the game players win or lose, not the consequences of victory or defeat. Simply time to move on to the next battle.

I dislike the idea that we are all just dancing to the puppet masters commands. The idea that even those of us who are engaged aren't really engaged. We don't really see behind the curtain. I found it telling that all the main players in the show are democrats but even so, within this show, everyone getting directly affected by the game player's decisions have very little influence beyond a mass of polling. Public relations is everything and we dutifully lap up whatever our side gives us. The message is manipulated unrelentingly.

My goal isn't better government programs, my goal is the dismantling of their power. I know House of Cards is only a show and that there are good people in Washington but apparatus swallows everyone at this point. Even the so-called "good" people on this show are shown to be dishonest opportunists when necessary. It's a little sickening.

So given the state of stories Taki listed above, is House of Cards really so far off? Maybe. Maybe not. The only way to fix this is to severely shrink it. Let's make all politics local again.

Ferguson Roundup Part II

Shortly before midnight local time, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that police fired tear gas at a group of protesters who had reportedly defied orders to leave the parking lot of a burned-out QuikTrip convenience store that has been near the center of demonstrations over the past eight day. St. Louis County Police Chief Sam Dotson told reporters that shots had been fired in the area and media members were told to go to a designated area about a quarter of a mile away.

Late Monday, reporters estimated that the number of protesters had dropped to around 100, far fewer than the number of media members who were covering them.
Which is that many more people in a race to be wrong:
The rush to condemn Wilson’s conduct and the gallop to martyr Brown may have set land-speed records. The New Yorker, like numerous outlets, reported that Brown was walking to his grandmother’s home when confronted by Wilson. A video released from the by turns hapless and devious Ferguson Police Department alleges that he was actually walking from a thuggish and brazen shoplifting of a box of cigars from a convenience store.

That video is almost surely irrelevant to Wilson’s state of mind, since the police said he didn’t know about the shoplifting incident. It is, however, inconvenient from the martyrdom angle.

But don’t tell that to the legions of too-often-interchangeable activists, commentators, and reporters who have convinced themselves that we know exactly what happened, or at least all we need to know.

Al Sharpton, with decades of racial ambulance-chasing under his belt, insists that “America is on trial” in Ferguson.

Of course he does.
D-bags will be d-bags, Jonah. Ferguson is just another city in a long line of leftist controlled cities. This seems to be a pattern.
The more progressive the city, the worse a place it is to be poor and/or black. The most pronounced economic inequality in the United States is not in some Republican redoubt in Texas but in San Francisco, an extraordinarily expensive city in which half of all black households make do with less than $25,000 a year. Blacks in San Francisco are arrested on drug felonies at ten times their share of the general population. At 6 percent of the population, they represent 40 percent of those arrested for homicides. Whether you believe that that is the result of a racially biased criminal-justice system or the result of higher crime incidence related to socioeconomic conditions within black communities (or some combination of those factors) what is undeniable is that results for black Americans are far worse in our most progressive, Democrat-dominated cities than they are elsewhere. The progressives have had the run of things for a generation in these cities, and the results are precisely what you see.
Well thank God Eric Holder is heading down there. Even NBC doesn't know what he can do to help things.
Cornell University Law Professor Jens David Ohlin believes Holder's role will be largely "socio-political" but could also help to spur some immediate policy changes in local law enforcement before an angry community erupts again.

"There's not a lot of time right now, [so] maybe he's going down there in an informal way to encourage the local officials to reform their practices, so he can see some results much quicker," Ohlin told NBC News. "Another possibility is he's hoping, and the president is hoping, that his mere presence there will have some calming effect."
Ah I see. Hope and change. That's worked so well for the last 6 years.

Cop was Injured In Michael Brown Confrontation?

The Gateway Pundit can now confirm from two local St. Louis sources that police Officer Darren Wilson suffered facial fractures during his confrontation with deceased 18 year-old Michael Brown. Officer Wilson clearly feared for his life during the incident that led to the shooting death of Brown. This was after Michael Brown and his accomplice Dorian Johnson robbed a local Ferguson convenience store.

Local St. Louis sources said Wilson suffered an “orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket.” This comes from a source within the District Attorney’s office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police.
So if Michael Brown was shot in the back running away from the police, how did the cop get a fractured eye-socket?

Facts are trickling in and are conflicting. But assuming this is the case, will it matter? George Zimmerman had all kinds of injuries and those facts didn't matter either. The leftist black population will believe racism and murder no matter what.

Mostly Peaceful Protest Overnight in Ferguson -- Only 2 Shot

Via HotAir:
The removal of the curfew by Gov. Jay Nixon and the arrival of the National Guard didn't improve matters in Ferguson overnight. Police deployed teargas and arrested 31 people as protesters filled the streets, while two people were shot — although not by police. According to Captain Ron Johnson, who has been in command on the ground, police never fired a shot, even though they were under “heavy fire” during the night.
Still, the plot thickens. Was Brown shot in the back of the head?
Big news if true as it seemingly contradicts a key takeaway from Michael Baden’s autopsy, that none of the shots that hit Brown came from the back. As noted in the last post, eyewitness accounts are mixed: Dorian Johnson claims Brown was hit from behind before turning and putting his hands up, an eyewitness who live-tweeted the shooting claims that two shots were fired at his back before Brown turned to face Darren Wilson and was then fired at repeatedly, and a third eyewitness captured on audio claims that Brown initially ran away from Wilson before coming back at him. There’s rough consistency there on Brown’s movements, first fleeing from Wilson and then facing him, but when the shots were fired, which shots hit him, and what Brown was doing when he turned back towards Wilson are uncertain. Now, a new detail: Watch below as one of the lawyers claims that a shot entered the very top of Brown’s head, traveled downward, and exited through his right eye socket. How does that happen to a man who’s 6’4″?
Good question. While I have been hard on the rioters, that doesn't mean I don't want the truth of what happened. Brown didn't do himself any favors but the truth is he WAS unarmed and he was shot many times. As much as I want the state to crack down on the rioters, I also want as intense an investigation to be conducted on this. Truth only, no matter if the cop was at fault or not.

Ferguson Roundup

So Michael Brown was fleeing? Eh.. not so much.
“He pulled up ahead of them. And then he got a call-in that there was a strong-arm robbery. And, they gave a description. And, he’s looking at them and they got something in their hands and it looks like it could be what, you know those cigars or whatever. So he goes in reverse back to them. Tries to get out of his car. They slam his door shut violently. I think he said Michael did. And, then he opened the car again. He tried to get out. He stands up.

And then Michael just bum-rushes him and shoves him back into his car. Punches him in the face and them Darren grabs for his gun. Michael grabbed for the gun. At one point he got the gun entirely turned against his hip. And he shoves it away. And the gun goes off.

Well, then Michael takes off and gets to be about 35 feet away. And, Darren’s first protocol is to pursue. So, he stands up and yells, “Freeze!” Michael and his friend turn around. And Michael taunts him… And then all the sudden he just started bumrushing him. He just started coming at him full speed. And, so he just started shooting. And, he just kept coming. And, so he really thinks he was on something.”
Jay Nixon is getting the National Guard.
Missouri’s governor said on Monday he would send the National Guard into the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson to restore calm after authorities forcibly dispersed a crowd protesting last week’s fatal shooting of an unarmed black teen by police.

Gov. Jay Nixon signed an executive order deploying the U.S. state militia, saying demonstrators had thrown Molotov cocktails and shot at police as well as a civilian, a description of the night’s events diverging widely from some eyewitness accounts.

“Tonight, a day of hope, prayers, and peaceful protests was marred by the violent criminal acts of an organized and growing number of individuals, many from outside the community and state, whose actions are putting the residents and businesses of Ferguson at risk,” Nixon said in a statement on his website.
Well the media just knows this all bullshit. They got the facts And because those facts are irrefutable, social justice reigns, in the form of burning down Walgreens. The media, ever the calming influence, calls it a race war.
While the language about a “race war” is somewhat irresponsible and largely unfounded (and would be the considered the height of recklessness had they been written by a conservative), the notion that some of these protests were sparked by a sense of desperation at the start is valid and important. It is worth having a national discussion about the criminal justice system, which many on the right and left believe is in desperate need of reform. But it is not fair to suggest that the current momentum and the tempo of these protests are entirely due to social dissatisfaction.

On Sunday night, amid some of the worst rioting in Ferguson yet, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon was forced to call in the National Guard. The officer in charge of the police response in Ferguson, Capt. Ron Johnson, determined that premeditated and coordinated attacks were being executed by protesters against police and on private businesses. Directionless expressions of social distress by a disenfranchised minority do not take the form of managed and focused assaults. That is the work of the criminals who have hijacked these protests for their own ends.

These columnists are correct to examine the origins of these protests and determine that they are founded in root causes far more universal than the shooting death of one teenager. They have, however, apparently evolved to a point now where they no longer resemble social unrest at all. In fact, they look much more like the majority of history’s reptilian mobs; common, recognizable, and fleeting, the majority of those violent outbursts did not herald some grand social transformation.
Maybe the media's pissed off and stoking the fires cause the police really don't have any more patience for their stupidity.
At one point, police appear to have become frustrated with the media on the scene. One officer, apparently bothered by the bright light from a camera covering the event live on the internet, screamed and allegedly threatened a man operating the camera – reported to be Mustafa Hussein of KARG – Argus Radio .

As the camera pans to the left and focuses on a section of a highway overpass, a loud voice (believed to be a police officer) is heard yelling directions, apparently angry at the use of a light. As one voice can be heard yelling something to the effect of, “Turn that sh** off!” another voice is heard saying something that sounded like an order to, “Get back!”

There is an unintelligible statement from another voice (possibly, “It’s off”), followed by the angry voice yelling, “Get the f**k out of here! You keep that light off or you’re getting shot with this!”
